The Practice Nurse Team
We are lucky in having 2 very experienced practice nurses - Aly Sloane and Kathryn Mcleod-Jones. Our practice nurse team provides ongoing care and education for patients with long term conditions such as chest, heart, lung disease and diabetes. We offer expertise in ear and wound care. Patients are invited to access practice nurses directly for support with lifestyle advice, smoking cessation and weight management.
We also offer a comprehensive travel service. Please note some travel vaccinations will be charged for (please ask at reception).
The District Nursing are responsible for providing skilled nursing care and support to patients and their families in their own homes. Messages for her may be left at the Surgery or alternatively telephone 01722 746776 (Monday to Friday 0830-1630). At other times please contact 0300 111 5717 for urgent problems.
Please note the District Nurses can visit housebound patients only.
This is provided by our Midwife . The antenatal clinic is on Tuesday mornings 9.40-11.30am. Please phone the surgery for routine appointments. In an emergency, please telephone 01722 336262 and ask for the on-call midwife for the Wilton team.
We provide Child Health Clinics, where you can pop along to have your child weighted and/or obtain advice the HV. These clinics are available for all children up to school age. The clinics are held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month (drop-in), and the 1st and 3rd Thursday (appointments). Elaine can be contacted on 01747 863136 or 07787 697708.
Immunisation clinics are held weekly at the surgery.
Child health surveillance - all children are seen at six weeks by the doctor, followed by health promotion contact at 7-9 months by a nursery nurse and at 1yr and 2yrs by the health visitor.
Within surgery hours we are happy to undertake well person, diabetes and cardiac care, hypertension, vascular screening and minor surgery.

Chiropody is available by self referral. Please ask reception for a form.
Physiotherapy is available by referral to Salisbury and Warminster Hospitals.
A full range of contraception options including IUCD (coil) and implant insertion are available at the surgery.
Hearing Loss Clinic
This is held on the 2nd Friday of each month. They can help you with fitting and supplying new batteries, fitting new tubing to ear moulds, giving advice and support on use of your hearing aid.
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
- Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
- Insurance claim forms
- Passport signing
- Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
- Private sick notes
- Vaccination certificates
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
